History: He was born in Mauville city and lived there until the age of 5 .
He lived in a huge mansion just outside the city, happy, secluded. Then, on his birthday, his parents died in a large fire which destroyed his home and possessions. He was later raised by an elderly couple and their 9 year old daughter. His newly acquired grandparents always told him stories about how they grew up with pokemon and he was filled with a longing to be out the road, wandering with a pokemon of his own.
